








Zoomk-Ru-Tu, performance, sound & music project, 2011- 2017
Zoomk-Ru-TU is a performance and music group found by Deniz Beser, Veysel Denec and Başak Sıla Bengisu on December 2011. The group is formed on disciplines such as improvised music, dance and fanzine production. The biggest passion of Zoomk-Ru-TU is expressing themselves in a child-like & carefree way. Performances include guest stars and dancers.
Between 2011 and 2016, the group performed at venues such as Pasaj, Ağaç Ev, Dark Bronx, Space Debris, Haliç Congress Center, Peyote and Arkaoda and in fairs such as Fanzineist: Zine Fest Of Istanbul, Ipa Istanbul Performance Festival, Art Bosphorus Contemporary Art Fair and MultiRAID Festival.
In 2013, they released their demo albums in fanzine-demo format from Heyt be! Music.
Their albums were released in cassette format and exhibited at the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art in 2014. This cassette album was part of the Underscene Project open archive, an installation by Merve Şendil, one of the artists of the Polyphonic exhibition, which points out the interactions between the visual and auditory arts in Turkey.
In 2015, Zoomk-Ru-Tu Zine Demo Album was exhibited in ”Underground. Revues alternatives, une selection mondiale de 1960 à aujourd’hui”(Underground alternative press from 1960 till now) in Cité internationale des arts, Paris, France.
In 2017, Zoomk-Ru-Tu were part of the movie project ”New Istanbul Dream” by Kamen Stoyanov. They did movie soundtrack and performed in the movie. This project featured in GPL Contemporary, Vienna and WRO Media Art Biennale in Wroclaw, Poland.
