Farabi Hotel, video, 3:00 min., 2014
Farabi Hotel is located in Taksim district of Istanbul, Farabi Street and surrounding streets are the subject of gentrification. Since 2013, the district has changed its face with the unceasing expansion of residency hotels and the popularity of middle east tourists. The local people started to leave the district during this transformation process. The empty building that Beser calls Farabi Hotel is located next to his art studio. Deniz Beser intervenes with the spatial specificity on the possibility of building this building as a hotel in time.
